• Director of Worship Arts August 2004 – present

Trinity United Methodist Church

Directed the Chancel choir, children’s choir, and handbell choir (5 octaves). Worship committee. Christmas, Easter, Tenebrae and Music Services. Childrens sermons. Occasional sermons. Formed a Mens’ Quintet, which performs two or three times annually. Recruits and works with soloists. Restructured the music library.

K – 6 Vocal Music, 7 – 8 boys’, girls’ and mixed choir, 9 – 12 boys’, girls’ and mixed choir, beginning, intermediate, and advanced band.

Trinity United Methodist Church

Directed the Chancel choir (30+), children’s choir, and handbell choir (3 octaves). Worship committee. Co-directed the annual Christmas musical, as well as an Easter or Tenebrae concert or production. Formed a Ladies’ Quartet (Gloria), which performed frequently in public. Resurrected handbell choir (previously dormant for 10 years). Founded the Arcadia Children’s Chorus, which invited non-member children to participate in the children’s choir. Restructured the music library.

• Classroom Teacher August 2000 – May 2003

West Elementary School

Worked with at-risk children in grades 1 – 5, first at a classroom teacher, then as a specialist, pulling children out of the classroom to work with them in a therapeutic small group setting. Instituted the Bridges Lab and the HOSTS Math program at West Elementary. Coordinated ‘Mentors’ (adult volunteers) to work with the children one-on-one.

• Singer in Gloria Musicae June 1999 – May 2003

Gloria Musicae is an auditioned professional chorus under the direction of Dr. Elwood Smith, Sarasota, Florida. Chorus, solos.

• Chorus Director 1997 – 1999

DeSoto Middle School

7 – 8 choir, 6^th general music. Active in All-State and District Festivals. Served as the Florida Vocal Association District VIII Coordinator 1998 – 2000. Performed two or more concerts per year, plus outreach activities such as civic parades and Relay for Life.

• Artistic Director August 1997 – December 1999 Crescendo, the Tampa Bay Women’s Chorus, GALA choruses

Planned and performed at least two large scale concerts per season. Many outreach performances in the community. Large group (30+) and small ensemble (6 – 8). Attended conferences and fundraising events. Served on the Production Committee and the Board of Directors.

Poinciana High School

9 – 12 Choir, 9 – 12 Musical Theatre, 9 – 12 Show Choir. Also, English I and II. FVA district and state festivals. Epcot Center’s Candlelight Concert series.

Crystal Lake United Methodist Church

Accompanied chancel choir and church services on organ and piano. One rehearsal, one or two services per week. Also weddings and funerals as needed. United Methodist Conference choir participation.
