Piano Lessons
Piano - Early Childhood (4 – 6 year olds)
•Parent is present and active in lessons
•Lessons are 3 times a week for 20 minutes
•Parent runs practice time, and makes it fun
•5 – 10 minutes of practice, once or twice a day
•Teacher guides lesson and Practice time, supports parent
•Piano Books and notebook are required
•Singing and movement are integral to lesson
Piano - Elementary (2nd – 6th grade)
•Parent is present in lessons
•Lessons are 1-2 times a week for 45 minutes
•Parent actively involved in practice time, and makes it fun
•30 – 45 minutes of practice time, spread throughout the day
•Teacher guides lesson and Practice time, supports parent
•Piano Books and notebook are required
•Singing and movement are integral to lesson
•Singing ‘lessons’ are incorporated into piano lessons, as needed/desired
•Singing songs may be worked on as needed for choirs or musical auditions
Piano - Middle School
•Parent is invited to lessons
•Lessons are once or twice a week for 30 minutes
•Parent structures practice time, helps as needed
•Teacher guides lesson and Practice time
•30 – 45 minutes of practice per day required
•15 – 30 minutes of theory per week required
•Piano Books and notebook are required
Piano - High School and Adult (Ages 15 and up—one is never too old to learn piano!)
•Lessons are once or twice a week for 60 minutes
•Student guides Practice time
•45 - 120 minutes of practice per day required
•60 - 120 minutes of theory per week required
•Piano Books and notebook are required
